Role Purpose

We are looking for an Assistant Brand Manager to help develop and implement effective brand-building strategies. Execute plans and report on campaign results. Develop new products and improve existing ones; strengthen brand and increase sales and brand awareness through effective marketing plans and campaigns.

Key Accountabilities

Market Research

  • Formulate marketing strategy for related category, monitor and evaluate its implementations in achieving overall business goals as defined in business direction and strategy.
  • Communicate with operational business units and corporate strategic planning to ensure an integrated approach to Marketing.
  • Use market research & analysis result to understand consumer preferences.
  • Instruct the execution of market research regularly to enlighten the short and long-term implications of alternative product, price, place and promotion strategies.

Product Management

  • Manage the life cycle of category products at all its stages including product development, price and market positioning in addressing and creating customer’s needs to build strong product portfolio.
  • Increase marketability of category products by studying and recommending changes in product features, e.g. design, info, packaging and attributes.
  • Ensure that all levels of the company are prepared to handle demands for the product and to train staff in its use for customer support.

Product Pricing

  • Converge market research on consumer buying power and competitive positioning with operations inputs to determine optimum prices.
  • Constantly monitor & analyze product performance and competitors’ prices and recommend appropriate changes to pricing policy, as needed.

Product Development

  • Manage the process of new product development in order to identify and develop opportunities for innovation that will enable sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Ensure own media and design team leaders put a sound plan against the agreed strategies and in line with the integrated Promotional and Advertising plan.
  • Stay updated with new changes related to media, advertisement tools, and related technologies to ensure best utilization of marketing plans and targets.

Brand Management

  • Coordinate with Marketing Communication to exploit co-branding opportunities on traditional multimedia and digital social media channels.
  • Coordinate and monitor the impact of marketing communications and activities on brand equity.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Coordinate with the relevant parties / approved outsourced agents for carrying out the customer satisfaction survey.
  • Implement strategies to ensure customer satisfaction by providing the best services and promptly resolve complaints, in addition to ensuring continuous win-win relationships with key customers.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Brand Manager.
  • Knowledge of product pricing, packaging, distribution and positioning.
  • Familiarity with latest marketing trends and best practices in FMCG.
  • BSc/BA in Marketing, Communication, Business or related field.
