Assistant Communications Manager – Singapore 

Media Relations

  • Establish and maintain relationship with the local, regional and international media with focus on consumers, business, hospitality, community and events
  • Media entertainment
  • Develop story bank with community, culture, Club news, Members, VIPs, innovation news
  • Develop stories to align our Club business/messaging with each media’s focus
  • Develop stories to share extraordinary Club news and achievements
  • Develop project and event case studies

Assistant Communications Manager. Magazine

  • Develop each publication’s content focus and plan
  • Manage, collate, and develop content for The Club’s quarterly magazine
  • Interview Members and staff for features
  • Story-telling on Club innovation, community, Club life, facilities and Club history

Assistant Communications Manager. Digital Marketing

  • Develop content for The Club’s website incorporating SEM

Social Media

  • Develop, strategize and implement a communications-related social media strategy for the general public to drive new memberships
  • Develop content calendar and content for social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin

Assistant Communications Manager. Internal Communications

  • Develop messages with the People Development Team for staff communication
  • Draft, edit and distribute news to internal staff
  • Support internal employee and community events as needed

70th Anniversary Book

  • Work with the Club’s historian and book designers to deliver a 70th anniversary book to members
  • Edit chapters of the 70th Anniversary book based on feedback
  • Project manage the book to completion

Assistant Communications Manager. Annual Report

  • Manage, collate and develop a theme in partnership with Finance for Annual Report
  • Work with Senior Managers for details
  • Draft, edit and review the written portion of the publication
  • Project manage the content consolidation and printing of the publication

Assistant Communications Manager. Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in progressively responsible marketing, communications or journalism positions; Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a related field.
  • Exceptional writing and speaking skills a must
  • Proven ability to be proactive, responsive, detail-oriented, demonstrate good judgment and the ability to work quickly across shifting priorities and tight timelines with the goal of delivering best-in-class service, quality, and accuracy
  • The position requires a high degree of adaptability and professionalism. The person in this role faces a variety of internal and external issues and audiences on a day-to-day basis and will be expected to respond to these issues appropriately
  • Demonstrated capabilities across both traditional and non-traditional channels, message development and story-telling in the new media landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically in traditional public relations and communications disciplines
  • Experience in professional writing, editing, speaking and presentation skills, planning, budget management, issues and project management
  • Ability to be an articulate, smart decision maker, and think clearly under pressure with strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated team and marketing integration experience in a business environment, consumer brand marketing, communications/PR experience and working knowledge needed to support the club’s strategic direction
