Finance Manager needed in London. Job description
Two years, Fixed Term Contract (extension subject to funding)
Location: London, or Cardiff with frequent travel to London
Are you a numbers person who wants a hands-on role? Are you used to dealing with a varied workload whilst managing the detail? Would you like to influence the development of a growing team? Elrha is seeking a Finance Manager to manage transactional processing, financial reporting, and our subgrantee financial due diligence and monitoring process.
Elrha is a global charity that finds solutions to complex humanitarian problems through research and innovation. We fund and support projects that go on to shape the way in which people across the world are supported during a crisis.
We are based in London and Cardiff, but our roles have a global reach. We’re an established and respected part of the humanitarian community, working closely and meaningfully with our fellow networks and actors to make change happen.
Finance Manager needed in London.
You will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong technical skills and the ability to translate these skills into working successfully with non-financial specialists. You will be committed to supporting your direct reports and other colleagues in developing their own skills as appropriate to their financial responsibilities, and you will be able to adapt to shifting priorities and evolving job responsibilities as Elrha grows.
You will have excellent attention to detail along with strong analytical and interpretive abilities, and will use these in conjunction with your problem-solving skills to ensure that Elrha’s finances are managed in accordance with donor requirements. Experience of charity financial and management accounting would be an advantage, as would technical understanding of audit principles and/or experience of staff management.
