This is an exciting time to be joining a company on the verge of a significant scale-up as an industry leader in the rapidly growing global biometrics market. As Quality Manager, you will develop and manage my client’s Quality Management System (QMS).
You will plan, direct, and coordinate quality initiatives and continuous improvement processes on new product development programs. You will collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and upstream suppliers.
You will own DFM, PFMEA, manufacturing system and traceability, quality and IPQC, and reliability. You will also work with my client’s worldwide cross-functional teams to represent the company when needed with external customers.
Quality Manager . Responsibilities include:
To lead and manage all aspects of the quality control process along with planning, implementing and maintaining quality management systems.
To run programs that ensure all specifications for a product are met, while monitoring progress and compliance through regular inspections.
Champion and drive new processes that facilitate Lean Manufacturing. Train company teammates in “Lean Methods.” Solicit buy-in from the top organizational leaders so that “Lean Methods” are embraced and communicated to the entire organization.
Serve as key team member on cross-functional development program teams
Direct the completion of First Articles, process qualifications, and PFMEAs.
Work with CMs to review and define DFMs, Process Flows, and PFMEAs.
Qualify Vendor Quality Systems and products.
Lead the qualification of new products.
Quality Manager . For Released Products:
o Lead issue resolution to ensure we resolve problems for our end-customers.
o Drive the investigation of product, component, and/or material issues or supply constraints and assist with troubleshooting remotely and/or on-site at the manufacturing facilities.
o Drive the quality and reliability data reviews to ensure we continue to ship robust products.
o Drive qualification of changes and challenge changes to ensure we continue to meet the end-customer expectations.
o Continue improvement cycles leading to better audit performance, including stopping some audits due to lack of issues.
Quality Manager . Required Qualifications
· Five or more years of experience with one or more of the following: high volume consumer electronics product ramp, manufacturing engineering, medical devices, process development, sustaining, NPI, quality, manufacturing automation, and/or testing roles.
· Minimum of three years as a quality manager in a manufacturing environment.
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
Quality Manager . Ideal Qualifications
· 10+ years of relevant experience in the high technology industry.
· Familiarity with printed circuit board manufacturing and assembly and/or semiconductors.
· Experience in many of the following methodologies: DFM, FMEA, SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality and Process Control.
